JOB EXPERIENCE:
Minimum experience of not less than 5 years in growing vegetables in field or
greenhouse
ORGANISATION STRUCTURE: Report to the
Selector
Supervise about 4 or more junior staffs
JOB OBJECTIVE: The main objective of a
supervisor is to help the selector in implementing sub-breeding projects in the
seedling at nursery, selection and hybrid field trials as well as cr
ossing
blocks. He or she gets daily instructions from the selector and organize his or
her colleagues to implement achieve the goal of the sub-projects.
MAIN TASKS:
Ø Counting and preparing seeds for sowing
trials
Ø Sowing and taking care seedlings at nursery
Ø Transplanting in field and crossing blocks
Ø Crop maintenance field and greenhouse
Ø Emasculation and pollination according to
the crossing matrix
Ø Collection of replicated yield data
Ø Assisting during selection and hybrid
trials
Ø Labeling selected plants and harvest
Ø Proper seed extraction according to protocol
