Main Responsibility Area
Plans and executes technical tasks requiring specialist skills in own professional area. Works independently with the responsibility for solving customer request cases and reporting according to processes.
Identifies and solves technical problems. Shares knowledge in own professional area. May support areas by participating in emergency and 24/7duty.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ability to implement Ericsson BSS database activities, including:
* Preparing and implementing scripts to add new BTSs, BSCs and RXCDRs to the network.
* Preparing and implementing scripts to add Internal, External and Proxy Neighbors.
* Ability to add new BSCs, and new RXCDRs
*Preparing and Implementing scripts for the site and BSS rehoming
*Ability to configure Ericsson BSS Abis and Ater interfaces, as well as all RF parameters changes.
* Ability to extract data from BSS/BTS to assist in global network configurations (Massive network database changes) .Keeping record of database parameters/timers changes.
* Keeping necessary Back-Ups to help in disaster recoveries.
* Knowledge in configuring Ericsson PGSM, EGSM and DCS frequency band sites
* in dual mode.
Necessary Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecom Engineering or IT.
* Experience in operating telecommunication networks
* Experience in 2G/3GRadio network elements (BSC, RNC , WBTS, ..)
* Experience in Network element OSS tools
* Accuracy
* Analytical and conceptual thinking
* Decision-making skills
* Reliability
* Calm approach to potentially stressful situations
* Strong Follow Up & Problem resolution skills
* Strong Interaction & Communication skills with different groups/teams in a multicultural environment
* At least 4 years experience with Configuration of Ericsson Networks
