To facilitate the
technical development of the capacities of Diakonia partners who are based in
Karamoja and or/ Northern Uganda. Field based support to partner organizations,
in monitoring and evaluation and other organizational development issues

- Make and ensure the implementation
of programme activity plans - Make reports to the Senior
Programme Officer on monthly, half annual and annual basis and make
appropriate recommendations on the programme’s progress and further
development. - Provide and/or coordinate
technical support in Diakonia’s thematic areas, on a general level, to
partner organizations, but more specifically towards the enhancement of
their planning, documentation, monitoring and evaluation skills and
practices. - Conduct regular monitoring and
occasional evaluations of partner organizations - Assess proposals, work plans, and
reports from partner organizations and recommend action - Co-ordinate partner consultation
meetings for the purpose of information sharing and learning; - Make terms of reference for
consultants and other capacity building provideis-and liaise with
consultants and manage the quality of their work, in consultation with
other program staff. - Perform general administration and
financial procedures of the programme, key of which will be ensuring that
the program handling system is constantly updated - Liaise with Finance and
Administration staff in regard to programme budgets and expenses - Co-operate with like-minded
organisations and stakeholders and participate in field based coordination
meetings - Perform all other tasks in
relation to the project as delegated by the Country Representative and
Senior Programme Officer.
Requirement:

Qualifications, Training and Experience
Qualifications, Training and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in the
Humanities, Education, Development Studies or any other relevant field. - Additional training in Project
Planning and Management, rights based programming, monitoring and
evaluation, communication and organizational development are key
requisites for the job. - A minimum of three years program
management experience in a busy multicultural Non Governmental human
rights organization. - Experience working with rights
based and conflict sensitive programming and providing technical support
to local NGOs in programme/project management is necessary.
