Opportunities Commission (EOC). established under the Equal Opportunities
Commission Act. 2007 is mandated to provide a framework for redressing
imbalances, which exist against marginalised groups while promoting equality
and fairness for all.
The EOC is hereby

PERSONNEL OFFICER

Duties
and Responsibilities
  1. Handling all personnel matters
    pertaining to recruit­ment, promotion, training, and development and
    managing exit.
  2. Handling staff performance appraisals/
    assessment
  3. Handling salary changes and
    benefits in accordance with the guiding principles and laws
  4. Reviewing Job descriptions for
    posts in the Commis­sion
  5. Maintaining up-to-date leave
    roster, updating EOC establishment and staff lists and deployment
  6. Conducting staff meetings
  7. Representing staff matters to
    senior management meetings.
  8. Ensuring terminal benefits and
    gratuities are paid on time in accordance with the guiding principals.
  9. Handling discipline, staff
    relations, welfare, employee conflict and resolution.
  10. Any other duty as may be assigned
    from time to time.
Requirement:
Person
specifications:
A Masters Degree in
Industrial and Organisation Psychology or Human Resource Management, Management
Science, Development Studies.
Public Administration,
Business Administration (Management option) Social Science with Human Resource
Management/personnel management as a subject, from a recognised
University/Institution A minimum of three years’ experience gained at Personnel
Officer level.
The
following Competences are required:
  1. Managing employee performance.
  2. Excellent communication skills.
  3. Employee relations skills.
  4. Computer literacy.
  5. Ethics and integrity.
