After 12 years on the post, the current Country Manager has decided to seek new challenges. We are therefore looking to replace him. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Group Chairman based in Germany.
Key Responsibilities
The job is mainly focused around sales and will require the person to be the face of the company rather than the technical expert. Main duties include but are not limited to:
• Oversee operations of the local company including management of a small energetic team
• Develop and recommend short and long term goals, strategies and objectives to the Board
• Provide oversight of Company Projects
• Attract New Business for the Company
• Ensuring proper Financial Controls
• Ensure that all operations and activities of the Company are conducted in accordance with applicable Laws of the Country.
• Provide regular reports to the Head office.
Requirement:
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• At least 5 years experience from a sales management position. Experience outside Uganda is a plus
• A Business Degree in Business Management,” Marketing, or Finance from a recognized University. A Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
• A thorough understanding and knowledge of government procurement regulations and experience in tender processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation and report writing skills
• A detailed and full understanding of Uganda with extensive prior travel locally and internationally
