The Justice and Reconciliation Project (JRP) is a non¬profit organisation based in Gulu. JRP has played a key role in transitional justice in Uganda since 2005 through seeking to understand and explain the inter¬ests, needs, concerns and views of the communities affected by conflict. Aiming to promote locally sensi-tive and
sustainable peace, our work focuses on the active involvement of communities in research and advocacy on local level transitional justice issues as a means of giving a voice to populations which have suffered from conflict for over twenty years.
