international bank in the country; the first branch was opened in August 1912.
We had 11 branches up to 1972 and retained only one branch during the
turbulence of the 70s. In 1998 we acquired 4 branches of former Cooperative
Bank in November 1999. Standard Chartered Bank Uganda today has a network of 11
branches in Kampala, Jinja, Mbale, Mbarara and Gulu. Standard Chartered Bank
Uganda has 29 ATMs and over 600 staff.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Brand
Management: Design and execute brand
specifications (Brand positioning and brand architecture) to reinforce the
overall SCB brand positioning. Support product naming and trademark-related
matters and branch merchandising.

Marketing
Strategies and Campaign: Work closely with the Client Segment and product teams across the business
to develop campaigns that speak effectively to the needs of the Client and
drive branding and consideration for products and services. In addition, use
consumer, competitor and research insights to provide thought leadership in
formulation of marketing strategy.

Digital
Marketing: work with both the digital and social media
agency to ensure that effective utilization of digital marketing.
Responsibility as the country social media manager.

Events & Sponsorships: Offer strategic and tactical inputs on events marketing as an integrated
part of the marketing function. This will involve planning and scheduling
marketing events activities for Retail, CIC and Commercial clients and
Sponsorships while overseeing the event marketing and sponsorships budgets.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Banking job should
possess a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or business - A minimum of three to five years’
experience in marketing, preferably in the financial services industry
with a track record of implementing successful marketing initiatives - Past exposure and experience in Social
Media and Digital Marketing essential - Excellent organisational and project
management skills - Proven measurement and analytic
capability, especially in relation to ROI - Possess the ability to work with teams,
manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines - Comfortable in interfacing with external
clients - Superior influencing and negotiation
skills - Superior stakeholder management
- Possess the ability to work autonomously
or as part of a team - Excellent written and verbal
communication skills - High level of accuracy and attention to
detail - Strong working experience with Microsoft
