Authority (CAA) is a corporate body responsible for the regulation of Civil
Aviation in Uganda. It manages Entebbe International Airport and 13 other
aerodromes uncountry. CAA carries wily in conformity with International Civil
Aviation Organization (ICAO) Standarde and Recommended Practices (SARPS). The
Authority now plans to recruit suitably qualified Ugandans of impeccable
intergrity and commtment

to fill the following position in its establishment as
detailed below.

POST TECHNICAL OFFICER (TRAINEE)
REPORTS TO : MANAGER CNS
SALARY LEVEL: 10
AGE 26 YEARS & BELOW
JOB PURPOSE
Apprenticeship for engineers as a pre-requisite for employment as Technical
Officers.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Acquaints self with the operations of ICAO, the African and Indian Planning
and Implementation Regional Group (APIRG), the Uganda CM, the Directorate of
Air Navigation Services and is to undergo on-job training in the CAA
telecommunications systems.
2. Participate in the implementation of Annex 10 and the AFI Air Navigation
Plan requirements and the 24 hour 7 days shift maintenance operations at
Entebbe and upcountry Aerodromes.
EDUCATION
Must have a good Bachelor’s Degree (Honors) in any of the following: Electrical
(Light Currents), Electronics, Telecommunications or Computer Engineering
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
a) Computer and Networking skills in A+, Server+, Network+, CCNA, CCNP,
CCDA,MCSE and Linux. b. Software programming skills in C, C++, PHP, Java, Perl,
and MATLAB.
c. Database development and management Skills in MS Access, Oracle, MySQL, and
Postgress d.Applications development skills in .NET, ASP, and MS Visual Studio
or Visual Basic e.Communication and Interpersonal skills. f.Team leadership and
management skills.g. Ability to use Microsoft Office Visio and AutoCAD
h.Applicants with the relevant knowledge and skills will have added advantage
