frontline health workers with the tools they need to deliver first-class,
evidence based medical care to all

patients, We are pursuing this vision by
putting easy to use guidelines for diagnosis and treatment on mobile phones for
use by health workers, Our partner is the Ministry of Health

We are seeking an mHealth
Coordinator for our mobile health projects in Malawi, who will coordinate
mHealth activities and strengthen the relationship between D-tree International
and the Ministry of Health, The position will be based at the IMCI Unit in
Lilongwe with occasional domestic travel to implementation field sites
We seek a candidate who is
motivated, interested in health care and technology, open to innovative ideas and
technology, efficiency, eager to work hard and a team player, The position will
required working closely with officials of Ministry of Health officials, health
workers, district and clinic level supervisors, partner organisations and the
D-tree team to monitor programs, Main responsibilities will include working
with IMCI Unit to coordinate D-tree International mHealth programs, helping
with field training, monitoring and evaluation, building capacity within the
IMCI Unit for long term sustainability and adaption of our mHealth initiatives,
We expect the candidate to be comfortable coordinating with multiple
stakeholders at all levels of govt, motivated, interested in health care and
technology, open to innovative ideas, efficient, eager to work hard, and able
to form effective partnerships
We are looking for a
candidate who is willing to take on any tasks that are required to make our
projects successful
Coordination of D-tree
mHealth projects within the IMCI Unit and Ministry of Health, Regularly organise
technical working group meetings, Increase the visibility of mHealth Activities
in the Ministry of Health Work with the Central Monitoring and Evaluation
Department at MoH to monitor implementation of projects to encourage regular
ruse of D-tree dashboards and assist MoH become the first tier support for
D-tree programs, Be knowledgeable and informed on other mHealth programs in
Malawi and able to direct questions and/or concerns to the appropriate
stakeholders
Coordination of health worker
and supervisor activities – Monitor activities of health workers via D-tree’s
online dashboard and report progress and challenges, Coordinate training and
follow up of trainings with District coordinators, Provide support to users of
mHealth initiatives
Reporting – Write, review and
evaluate reports, Make relevant presentations on behalf of the IMCI Unit
Capacity Building – Train
designated staff at IMCI Unit on how to use D-tree online dashboard and how to
troubleshoot mobile applications, Take part in training and capacity building
of relevant district MoH coordinators and Health Surveillance Assistants
(HSAs), Participate in Trainings of Trainers and assist maintain aptitude of
MoH trainers
Communications – Communicate
clearly with IMCI, Unit, Country Director and Project Manager at D-tree
International on progress in implementing field activities and any challenges
to be addressed
Work experience : Minimum 3-5
yrs public health experience, Extensive experience/knowledge of the Malawi
Ministry of Health, Proven experience coordinating with govt entries,
Experience working with multi-cultural teams preferred, Experience with
technology desirable, Professional qualification: Clinical Officer, Nursing
Degree, or other relevant Social Science qualification, Language: Excellent
written and spoken English and Chichewa, Telephone/Computer: Familiar with use
of mobile telephone and good computer skills, Ability to work independently
with minimum supervision, Ability to travel up to 30% of the time within Malawi
