IO-MBA Scholarships for Developing Countries at University of Geneva in Switzerland

The IO-MBA program
and the University of Geneva have introduced a new scholarship program in
September 2016 entering into force from the 2017-2018 intake. This scholarship
program has the objective to encourage and facilitate the participation of
candidates coming from abroad to Geneva, candidates coming from low and middle
income countries as well as candidates working in a Nonprofit Organization.

The IO-MBA
scholarship program offers 4 types of scholarships:

Accommodation Scholarship

Provision of a
single room in a student apartment (12 months x 600 chf)*

Based on a
combination of academic merit and financial need. This scholarship is
depending on the availability of rooms and granted on a ‘first come first
serve’ basis.

2. IO-MBA Scholarship

Reduction on
program fees

Based on a
combination of academic merit and financial need. This scholarship is
depending on the availability of funds.

3. Priority Countries
Scholarship

Reduction on
program fees for participants coming from AND living in a country with a
low-to-medium HDI**

‘Statement of
honor’ describing your personal financial situation, copy of your passport,
proof of residence. This scholarship is depending on the availability of
funds.

4. Scholarship for Partner IOs
& NGOs

Reduction on
program fees for participants working in an IO or an NGO partner of the
IO-MBA program

Statement from
the employer attesting your place of work.

Each type of
scholarship is available on a limited number and candidates who are willing to
apply for it are encouraged to submit their application by 15 November (Round
1). Candidates can apply for two types of scholarships at the same time,
knowing that the Admission Committee will grant, if possible, the most beneficial
scholarship. Scholarships are based on a combination of academic merit,
financial need, and availability of funds. Should you have any question on our

* If a
participant is successfully granted with Geneva University Accommodation
Scholarship, he/she can request the IO-MBA office a private studio instead by
paying the monthly difference (250CFH/month)
