The Minerals, Energy and Water Resources sector of the
Human Resources Development Advisory Council aims to provide quality vocational
skills within the industry. These skills will be developed using the Botswana
College of Education and Training (BCET) together with Francistown College of
Vocational Training and Education (FCTVE)
1.Apprenticeship Programme
The following programmes will be offered at BCET:
•Heavy Plant Mechanic
•Fabrication and Welding
Whilst FCTVE will offer the following:
•Maintenance Industrial Electrician
•Maintenance Fitting and Machining
•Instrumentation
•Millwrights
Applicants will go through a selection process
involving psychometric testing and medical examinations
1.1.Minimum qualification Requirements
•O’level/BGCSE with passes in English and credits
in Maths and Science
Only candidates who meet the above requirements
need apply enclosing detailed CV and certified copies of relevant certificates
