MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Aberdeen Sports Village is a new, premier £28 million sports development for the north east of Scotland. The development is a partnership between the University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen City Council and sport Scotland, and provides a wide range of high quality sports facilities and services for the community, students and elite athletes. The first phase of the development opened in August 2009, and includes the following facilities:
• Indoor and outdoor athletics
• Full size indoor football pitch
• Spacious fitness suite and performance gym
• Large games hall
• Exercise studios
• Squash courts
• Water-based hockey pitch
• Outdoor grass football pitch
• Sports performance laboratory
We are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician, who is tasked with the ongoing upkeep of our world class facility, as well as overseeing the adherence of all company compliance process and procedures. Due to the multi nature of our business we require maintenance technicians who have had experience in diverse public areas, including sports or leisure facilities.
You will have a detailed understanding of; Health and Safety process, managing risk assessments, experience of working with external contractor and suppliers,
Some of the key areas of responsibility for this role include building maintenance, maintaining sports surfaces, plumbing, decoration, air conditioning, plant room, and preventative maintenance.
As part of the Operations team you will be expected to work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure that any works carried out have minimal disruption possible.
