FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
Reporting directly to the Controller, the Financial Accountant will help to ensure the timely preparation of Ocean Choice’s monthly consolidated financial statements. Major activities include the preparation of working paper files, intercompany account reconciliations, updating various consolidation and business unit files for senior management, and maintenance of the general ledger. In addition, the incumbent will prepare files for external auditors and assist in the preparation of the annual consolidated budget.
Through your experience and education you have demonstrated sound judgment, problem solving skills and the capability to manage multiple projects in a demanding, fast paced work environment.
You possess a degree in Commerce or Business with an accounting major, supplemented by relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the fishing industry.
Extensive experience with the use of computer applications is essential. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is available including health and pension plans.
