The Junior
Financial Analyst is a member of the financial team responsible for
coordinating and analyzing financial and statistical information in a timely
manner, and ensuring that the information is reasonable and accurate. The
position will report to the Manager, Financial Services.
Responsibilities
include:
* Prepare
and post monthly journal entries according to predetermined time frames.
* Prepare and analyze, in a timely manner, the following balance sheet
sections:
Inventories,
Prepaid Expense, Accounts Payable, Deferred Revenues and Education Funds
* Assist
in the annual budget preparation and maintenance of the budget throughout the
fiscal year. Focus on salaries and supply expenses.
* Assist with collection/verification and reporting of statistical ledger.
* Assist in the maintenance of cost accounting system.
* Other duties and special assignments from time to time, in relation to the
above mentioned tasks.
Qualifications:
* Enrolled
in a recognized Accounting Designation and hold a Post Secondary Degree or
College Diploma.
* A strong aptitude for analysis and interpretation of data.
* Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to changing conditions and
requirements.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Advanced knowledge of MS Access, Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and well developed problem
solving skills.
* Must have a good attendance record.
