Credit Officer

Position Focus: The primary focus of the Credit officer is to provide credit and administrative support to the Account Managers in the development and maintenance of the loan portfolio, while ensuring a high level of service to new and existing customers.
Education:
Three (3) years banking experience, with loans exposure.
Working knowledge of Moody’s Financial Analyst as asset.
Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and Adobe Forms.
Solid organizational and analytical skills.
Prior experience with financial statement analysis and software programs.
Good interpersonal and communication (written & verbal) skills.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility to assist Account Managers in the maintenance of the Commercial loan portfolio:
Assist to ensuring the safety of the Bank’s funds through proper loan portfolio management with focus on loan quality, exposure limits and security requirements.
Assist to minimize loan and revenue loss through implementation and maintenance of programs and procedures to identify and manage problem loans.
Review accounts/services on an ongoing basis to obtain compensation for increase in risk, complexity and/or administration through a comprehensive account analysis (SSTAR).
Prepare amendment and annual review credit applications.
Prepare and input Moody’s Financial Analyst reports for the Account Manager’s analysis.
Prepare and input data to the Margin Control Card for the Account Manager analysis.
Preliminary analysis of the Margin Control Card.
Pursue continual learning and development of personal goals to remain current of industry knowledge as well as assist to fulfill the Bank’s and the individual’s succession planning goals.
Provide back-up to the Loan Administrator position.
