NatureBuilt’s mission is simple: to have a massive impact on the way
we build our homes. Buildings account for approximately 40% of the
carbon emissions worldwide and they are the lowest hanging fruit in
terms of reducing carbon footprint and controlling climate change.
While current building practices have recognized the need to improve
energy standards in buildings, there is still a great deal more that
needs to be done and the solutions for energy improvements that are in
place generally require the use of foams and other petrochemical based
products.
NatureBuilt has recognized this
need and has come up with a solution
that vastly improves energy efficiently, uses no harmful chemicals in
its production, and is net carbon negative. The NatureBuilt Bio-SIP
Wall System is a completely modular, prefabricated panelized wall
system that is built in climate controlled conditions and installed
quickly (approximately one floor per day). The Bio-SIP walls are built
using a structural frame, filled with compressed straw as the
insulation and sheathed on both sides with a ready to finish
eco-friendly Magnesium Oxide board. The BioSIPs are easy to work with
and tie into conventional foundations and roof systems.
We are looking for somebody immmediately to join us to assist us in
the manufacturing and installation of our wall system. The skills and
requirements are listed below:
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate
• will be trustworthy, an autonomist, respectful, self-motivating with
strong leadership, management, planning, communication, and
motivational skills
• an ability to solve problems
• have an aptitude for physically demanding work
• is highly motivated with an excellent work ethic
• has experience directing a crew of three or more people
• able to remain composed under stressful situations
• has a minimum of five years of construction experience
• has a current G License and clean driver abstract.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Produce product according to drawings
• Coordinate employees to maximize output
• Create systems and jigs to improve efficiency and quality
• Manage & optimize shop floor usage
• Quality control
• Physical inventory
• Order materials
• Timesheets
• Manage part-time employees’ schedules
• Keep the shop clean
• Coordinate delivery and installation date with client
• Coordinate and discuss site specific issues that may have an impact
on the project
• Arrange transport, crane and crew for installation
• Ensure GC has labour ready to help and is aware of what they need to
do and provide
• Solve problems on-site as they occur
• Interact with client in a way to leave a positive impression of our company
