Channel Zero
is looking for a full-time Marketing Coo
rdinator to join its dynamic marketing
team for a six-month contract at its Toronto office. The successful candidate
will report to the Marketing Manager.
Working
under the direction of the Marketing Manager, and closely with various
departments in the organization, the Marketing Coordinator will be the primary
liaison for the following areas of the marketing plan, and the primary point of
contact to the public.
The primary
areas of focus of this role are as follows:
- Social

Relations - CH-CHing!
Loyalty Program
Key
Responsibilities:
- Social
Media/Viewer Relations - Act as
primary moderator and content creator for CHCH (in conjunction with CHCH
News) and other Channel Zero brands in the social media space (FB,
Twitter, Instagram) - Be the
voice of the brand: moderate and respond to viewer comments and inquiries
via social media platforms, voicemail and email – reach out to
appropriate departments for input in developing responses to specific
inquiries (e.g. Programming, News) - Proactively
seek out, recommend and implement social media best practices - Create
effective and engaging content that will increase social media metrics - Maintain
look and feel of brand pages - Strategically
plan and schedule promotion of core promotables in line with the overall
brand marketing plan - Maintain
and develop online FAQs - Respond
to and fulfill donation requests
- CH-CHing!
Loyalty Program– work closely with the Marketing Manager,
Program Developer, Sales and Creative Services to develop Rewards
catalogue, promotional elements and FAQs - Maintain
program branding, values and key messaging across all CH-CHing! touch
points - Liaise
with Sales Reps on the implementation of rewards; provide counsel on
reward structure - Liaise
with Program Developer on redemption, fulfillment and communication to
members - Package
and ship CH-CHing! rewards on a weekly basis or as needed - Write
and deploy monthly CH-CHing! newsletter - Write
weekly Creative Brief for new reward elements; coordinate asset delivery
between reward partners/Sales team and Creative Services, review and
approve creative - Upload
new rewards; maintain catalogue on a timely basis - Update
Partner page and Winner’s Circle - Provide
weekly segment notes for Morning Live with featured rewards and key
program messaging - Track
and deliver promotional commitments for CH-CHing! reward partners; work
with Traffic on promo rotation - Track
premium inventory for CH-CHing!

Skills & Qualifications:
- 1-3
years’ experience in a similar role - Social
Media guru; activist and ambassador (understanding of algorithms a key
asset) - Creative
and promotional copywriter who and can actively engage the public - Enthusiastic,
self-motivated, quick learner - Strong
attention to detail, spelling and grammar - Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills - Keeps
manager well informed of all assignments, deliverables, issues and
challenges - Ability
to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines in fast-paced
environment - Ability
to work independently, and collaboratively as part of a team - Post-secondary
education preferred, with a marketing degree or
equivalent
