About the Position
The Recipe Tester will help take our Recipe Bag program to the next
level. Our Recipe Bags include all the pre-portioned ingredients you
need to make a meal for two people – from the half cup of organic
rice, to the wild salmon, to the couple ounces of local maple syrup.
The Recipe Tester will cook, tweak, and provide feedback on the
seasonal and organic recipes developed by our team. We originate
recipes either in-house or through external partners.
This position reports directly to our Marketing Manager. As a rapidly
growing company, we hope that you will grow with us.
About You
You are, of course, an excellent cook. You are passionate about making
healthy and seasonal food accessible to everyone. You provide feedback
that is practical both for the end user and our company. You have a
keen eye for detail and excellent writing and editing skills.
Experience
Given the nature of this position, we do not have a rigid list of
criteria that a candidate must possess. That said, any of the
following type of experience would certainly be an asset:
• Commercial cooking experience whether at a caterer or restaurant
• Writing/copy-editing experience
• BONUS: recipe writing experience
• BONUS: food photography experience
• BONUS: experience cooking seasonally
Schedule & Compensation
This position will ideally start as soon as the hiring process ends.
The position will be one day per week to start, every Thursday. We pay
an hourly wage and you will get lots of local and organic produce to
take home.
