Brother printers are perfect for the office as well as home use. These printers are available in different sizes and styles. New Brother printers are multifunctional as you can use one device for printing documents, scanning, or even as a copier. These printers are very robust but the users may face some cartridge-related issues while using the printer.

Restart the printer and PC
If your Brother printer is not working after refilling the cartridge then try restarting the device. Sometimes, printers face runtime errors after making any changes. You can simply fix the error by restarting it. Go to the printer and restart it. Also, restart the connected PC and now reconnect the printer. Send a new print command and check whether your Brother printer is working or not.
Reinstall the cartridge correctly
The error can appear when the cartridge is not installed correctly. Sometimes junk gets stuck inside the cartridge slots and the printer starts showing errors. To fix the problem, you should clean the slots. Go to your Brother printer and eject all the installed cartridges. Now take a lint-free cloth and clean the cartridges and slots. Reinstall all the cartridges carefully and ensure that the pins are touching the contacts. Now go to your Brother printer and try to take a test printout.
Check for the refilled cartridge
Sometimes the printer can’t read the refilled cartridge. You should check the slot status of the refilled cartridge. If the status is showing “No cartridge” then eject all the installed cartridges. Take the refilled cartridge and check for any damage or ink leakage. Sometimes the cartridge lid is not closed properly and the printer shows errors. If the refilled cartridge is not damaged then take the refilled cartridge and insert it into another slot. Check whether the printer is reading the cartridge or not. Repair the printer driver
