We are Earth + City, an innovative and exciting food preparation
company located in Toronto. We are looking to hire both full-time and
part-time individuals to join our growing team for this season (May to
November, with potential to extend). Currently, there are four
positions available with shifts starting May 2015.


Working with Earth + City is nothing short of lively, dynamic and
creative. You will be working with us in our beautiful bright kitchen
preparing plant-based food, as well as selling with us at various
farmers’ markets, festivals and events around the city. We are looking
to hire folks who have kitchen and/or sales experience, and of course,
those who are passionate about food.

The job requires both mental and physical strength and stamina, as you
will be on your feet and moving most of the working day. It also
requires full adaptability to varying weather conditions where you may
be asked to sell at markets in rainy or cool conditions. If you are a

POSITIONS AVAILABLE (4 total):

There are three (3) full-time Kitchen/Market Staff positions available
(consisting of 3-4 kitchen shifts and 1-2 market shifts).

There is one (1) part-time Driver position available (consisting of 3
driving shifts, with the possibility to supplement with kitchen/market
shifts for a full-time position).

MUST HAVES:
• great kitchen skills (e.g., following a recipe, problem solving,
chopping, multitasking, cleaning)
• excellent people skills (friendly and engaging personality,
strengths in interacting with customers and communicating with other
vendors, making sales)
• great work ethic (responsible, efficient, punctual, flexible,
adaptable – our work is very fun, but hard as well!)
• drivers license
• be able to work weekends and holidays
• food handlers certification (or at the very least, registered in the program)

DETAILS:
• weekend and weekday shifts (each job has two consecutive days off
per week, one of which is a weekend day)
• pay to start at $13.50/hour, with possibilities for increase based
on performance
• job start date is May 11th (continuing until the end of November),
with possibilities for extension
• kitchen location is at 88 Cawthra Ave (near St Clair and Keele – it
is streetcar and bus accessible)
