Job Summary:


We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Project Manager to
support our various projects and initiatives. Under the supervision of
the Executive Director the Project Manager will have the opportunity
to lead exciting community-based urban projects, develop innovative
community engagement activities, produce influential reports, interact
with high-level decision makers and contribute to the creation of
healthier and more people friendly communities.

Skills/Qualifications:

Required:
• 3 or more years’ experience in relevant private or public sector
roles or fields (Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Transportation
Engineering, Urban Planning, Community Development, Public Health or
related field.)
• Excellent English communication skills (written and oral).
• Competence in InDesign
• Project management experience
• Community engagement experience
• Detail oriented, organized, and conscientious
• Self-directed, reliable, and responsible
• Diplomatic nature, can handle simple conflict situations with sensitivity
• Creative and collaborative
• Willingness to travel
• Most importantly, a passion for creating more liveable,
people-oriented cities!

Assets:
• Experience with client relations and sales
• Experience with budget management
• Experience with event management
• Experience writing blog posts or contributing to social media and
online platforms
• Experience with grant writing or RFPs

Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Lead the implementation of a community-based urban projects
• Conduct community-based research and develop creative community
engagement tools and strategies.
• Oversee project budgets
• Manage a small team of staff, volunteers and/or project partners.
• Develop strategic approaches for acquiring new clients or funding
relationships
• Lead partners and clients through a wide range of complex political,
and logistical problems
• Develop graphics, illustrations, digital presentations, reports, and
other presentation materials
• Manage project reporting and provide updates to colleagues.
• Liaise with a diversity of project partners including municipal
decision makers and staff, local community and advocacy groups, public
health officials, local business community members, schools and school
boards, and any other interested stakeholder groups.
• Manage the implementation of capacity building events and activities.
• Public speaking and facilitation will be required.
• Travel will be required.
