Job
description

We are in the
initial planning stages of opening a mid-range, 16-room hotel and cafe in
Kigali. We hope that this will not only be a hotel, but a landing place for
business people interested in investing in Rwanda, and a gathering space for
new entrepreneurs. Our goal is to help build a better Rwanda, and this is just
one of several businesses that we will help to start and incubate.

We are seeking an
e
ntrepreneur to:

Research
and purchase land
Supervise
construction contractor
Run
the hotel including a dozen hotel staff
Help
to develop the careers of hotel staff and train them in hospitality
management
Market
the hotel online and locally
Conduct
innovative activities such as selling blocks of rooms to organizations,
convening the entrepreneurship community for “entrepreneurship
nights,” and creating a transparent, hassle-free online booking
system.

The entrepreneur
will report directly to a proven, successful social entrepreneur in Kigali.

We are seeking:

A
capable entrepreneur. This role starts with building and/ or running a
hotel, but there is significant room for career growth in several related
enterprises over time. Prior hospitality experience is ideal, but not
required.
Prior
leadership experiences and/ or high-quality work experiences are
desirable.
A
values-driven person who is genuinely passionate about helping to build a
better Rwanda through entrepreneurship.
Someone
that is passionate about delivering only the highest quality and excellent
customer service.
International
or country nationals encouraged to apply.
Must
speak fluent English. French and/ or Kinyrwanda are a plus.
Minimum
1.5 years commitment required (for this venture and follow-on ventures).

Salary starts
relatively low initially, but will be sufficient for a young single person to
live a comfortable life. Over time, we believe this role presents a career
opportunity with sigifnicant room for expansion into other ventures and
significant upside for a real, long-term career. Limited employee equity shares
will be awarded.
