The Zonal Accountant
serves as the person in charge of all daily accounting and financial activities
at the branch.
Duties and
Responsibilities
(i} Assists the Chief Accountant in the supervision and monitoring of all
Non-Life accounting
matters.
(ii) Supervises Non-Life accounting operations and ensures adherence to
financial regulations
in the day to day operations.
(iii} Maintains proper documentation and accuracy of non-life revenues claims
and payments
(iv) Prepares monthly and other periodic financial reports of Non-life Accounts
and consolidates
periodic accounts statements. reports and returns.
(v) Maintains all books of Non-Life Accounts and allied records.
(vi) Coordinates the issuance of quarterly statements of accounts to
Re-insurers
(vii) Coordinates and maintains investment records and prepares periodic
investment reports.
(viii) Implements internal control systems and other accounting policies and
procedures.
(ix) Any other related duties assigned by the superiors
Essential
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience
• Holder of at least Advanced Diploma in Accountancy or Ordinary Diploma in
Accountancy
or equivalent qualification.
• At least two years of experience in financial management and accounting at
middle level
management.
• Computer literate.advantage
REMUNERATION
Remuneration will be according to ZIC salary scale and other terms and
conditions of ZIC.
