Waste Enterprisers Process Engineer, Human-Waste-to-Solid-Fuel facility Job Vacancy in Ghana

Position description:
Are you longing for hands-on and high-impact engineering work? Waste Enterprisers is expanding their team of engineers working on the process design for GreenHeat – the world’s first human-waste-to-solid-fuel facility.

The key objectives of the job are:
1. Optimizing the combination of drying technologies (e.g. solar, mechanical, thermal) in order to dry the sewage in the most cost-effective and environmentally friendly way.
2. Building a facility that successfully produces 3 tons of fuel from sewage per day.
3. Refining operations in preparation for build up to commercial production.

The team’s work will build upon nine months of prior research and pilot-scale testing by Waste Enterprisers.

Selection criteria:
We seek sharp, technically creative, and enthusiastic individuals. The position demands someone who works comfortably on a team as well as independently; is adept at rapid prototyping and experimentation; and has entrepreneurial interests.

The successful applicant will possess:
• A BS or MS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with fabrication

Desired but not required:
• Experience with the design or operation of drying processes
• Experience with natural ventilation and/or passive solar technologies
