Job Summary
As a member of the onboard crew, the Flight Attendant is responsible for passenger safety and comfort. The Flight Attendant will ensure “Superior Customer Service” is provided to all of our customers travelling with Wasaya Airways.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
1.Attend pre-flight briefings concerning weather, altitudes, routes, emergency procedures, crew coordination, lengths of flights, food and beverage services offered, and numbers of passengers
2.Determine special assistance needs of passengers such as small children, the elderly or disabled persons
3.Direct and assist passengers in the event of an emergency, such as directing passengers to evacuate a plane following an emergency landing
4.Administer first aid to passengers in distress
5.Perform daily pre-flight inspections on all safety and emergency equipment found onboard the aircraft
6.Complete all applicable safety announcements and demonstrations
7.Provide exceptional customer service and portray a positive public image at all times
8.Perform and uphold Wasaya’s Customer Care Commitments to both internal and external customers
9.Any other related duties as assigned
Minimum Skills and Qualifications
1.High school diploma or equivalent is required
2.Exceptional public speaking skills
3.2 years previous experience working with the public in a customer service role
4.Minimum of 19 years of age at time of employment
5.Ability to obtain necessary security clearances and successfully complete company screening process
6.Knowledge of the aviation industry is essential
7.Ability to absorb large amounts of technical information in a short period of time including, emergency procedures training, aircraft evacuation procedures, fire fighting techniques, first aid, onboard security procedures, and survival techniques
8.Successfully complete the company flight attendant training program
9.Sensitivity to the unique environmental, cultural and business needs of diverse northern cultures and communities
10.Ability to comprehend, think quickly and effectively and react appropriately under pressure
11.Strong communication and problem solving skills
12.Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse
13.working environment
14.Strong attention to detail
15. Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
16.Good working knowledge of Microsoft computer software (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.) and email
17.As a front-line worker, present a positive and professional image of the organization
18.Ability to communicate in Oji-Cree , Ojibway or French is an asset

POSITION: Service Support Personnel (Cargo Agent)
TERMS: Full-Time
LOCATION: Pickle Lake
SHIFT: As per schedule
JOB SUMMARY: Service Support Representatives perform clerical tasks for flight operations and service delivery, including, customer service, invoicing and dispatching.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform daily data entry and cargo inventory control functions of computerized inventory system.
2. Perform clerical and filing duties related to shipping, receiving and invoicing documentation.
3. Handle customer enquires, prepare quotations; arrange booking requests and cargo deliveries.
4. Develop and maintain a rapport with customer base to ensure service standards are maintained.
5. Handling cash and payment transactions, preparing sales, cash and inventory reports.
6. Timely and accurate completion of required flight operations documents to prescribed standards.
7. Compile, prepare and disseminate operational information requested by flight crews as required.
8. Report defects with assigned office equipment or shortages found in office supplies and required materials in inventory to Office Supervisor.
9. Other related office duties as assigned by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
1. Background with general office practices, preference in transportation, shipping/receiving setting.
2. Skilled in Microsoft Office suite and networked Windows 98+ environment.
3. Able to work in a fast paced team setting, willing and able learn new tasks in a highly regulated industry.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to speak and understand Oji-Cree is an asset.
6. Possess or demonstrate ability to obtain Restricted Radio Operators Certificate.
