Volunteer Construction Manager / Project Manager Job Vacancy in Uganda

ROLE
• Unique opportunity for a volunteer construction manager, project manager or engineer to work on a Vocational Training Centre for former child soldiers in Uganda.
• Managing the construction of a sustainable structure using local materials.
• Working in a challenging environment.
• Solving problems as they arise on site with direct support from the Article 25 London team.

REQUIREMENTS
• Qualified professional with 3+ years experience and superb qualifications and experience.
• Proven experience and success working in developing world construction environments.
• Excellent on-site practical experience.
• Excellent communication and personal skills.
• Fluency in English essential.
• Knowledge of Swahili advantageous.
• Previous experience working in International Development advantageous.

Article 25 is a charitable organisation with a team of construction professionals designing built solutions in post-disaster and post-war locations worldwide.

Projects include:
• Post-earthquake reconstruction programme in Haiti.
• Conservation based master planning in the Gola Forest, Eastern Sierra Leone.
• Independent evaluation of IFRC earthquake reconstruction building programme.
• School construction in the Democratic Republic of Congo
