The Volta Lake Transport Company (VLTC) Ltd a subsidiary company of the Volta River Authority (VRA) is seeking to recruit qualified and experienced personal for the above position.
Manager, Project Implementation Unit (4-year contract)
Job Function:
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and provision of support services to the Project Implementation of Unit (PIU) that will oversee and manage a loan infrastructure and mechanism improvements on the Volta Lake:
Manage Project budget and resource allocation
Track project timeliness and deliverables using appropriate tools
Monitor and report on progress of all projects to stakeholders
Provide administrative and logistics support to the PIU team
Provide accounting services by maintaining the project accounts and financial reports on stakeholders Procurement of service providers and recruitment of short/medium term personnel for the PIU

Required Skills or Experience
A first degree in relevant field or its equivalent
A second degree in Management/Finance will be an advantage
In-depth knowledge of financial management
A minimum of 15 years working experience, five of which should have been in a senior management position providing financial, administrative and logistics support
Direct work experience in managing capital project
Proven experience in People Management
Ability to liaise with senior government officials and relevant stakeholders on project implementation issues
Familiarity with business activities on the Volta Lake
In addition the candidates must:
Have demonstrated ability to provide leadership and guidance to staff
Be a team player, a good negotiator, with demonstrated ability to motivate staff and encourage participation in decision-making process
Have a strong analytical, supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills
Be energetic, proactive, dedicated, performance driven and capable of working under stress
