Education/Experience:
University
degree in economics, accounting, business administration; 2years experience in
microfinance industry

DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR COMPLIANCE

- Review
and monitor institutional strategic objectives to ensure they are
operationalized and adhered to. - Monitor
violations of credit policies, provide analysis, conclusion and
recommendations, present findings and suggest actions to be taken when
appropriate. - Maintain
an understanding and awareness of applicable laws and regulations - Ensure
effective communication of policies and other control requirements - Collaborate
with other departments (e.g., Recovery Management, Internal Audit, etc.)
to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for
investigation and resolution. - Identify
potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements
corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides
general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the
future. - Act
as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance
Issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated,
investigated and fixed. - Monitor,
and as necessary, coordinates compliance activities of other departments
to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to
identify trends. - Provide
reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested by management
informed of the operations and progress of compliance effort.
Reconciliation

- Manage
and coordinate loan reconciliation between field, MIS and finance data. - Ensures
an effective procedure remedies problems in credits reconciliations
properly. - To
perform any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the immediate
Supervisor. - Collaborate
with MIS and IT administrator to fix any problem that may be raised in
regards to credit operations.
