Production

OVERVIEW: VICE Media is seeking a
creative, energetic and experienced Production Manager to join our production
team, based out of our Toronto office. The Production Manager will oversee the
business and financial aspects including budgets, tracking costs, hiring crews,
deploying field teams, and work closely with the all departments and channels:
Finance, Sales, Editorial and Marketing teams. The right candidate will have
experience working across different formats, and overseeing a production team.

ROLES &
RESPONSIBILITES

·     
Knowledge of budgeting & actualizing.

·     
Tracking all invoices and deal memos.

·     
Overseeing production staff.

·     
Overseeing all costs spent in production & post-production.

·     
Maintaining all shooting & edit schedules.

·     
Responsible for overseeing all rights & clearances.

·     
Responsible for disseminating information to crew & staff.

·     
Responsible for a comprehensive wrap out of the show.

·     
Any additional duties as directed by immediate supervisor or designee.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·     
University or College Degree.

·     
3 years experience working for a Canadian production or broadcaster company.

·     
Ability to work flexible hours and manage team/think tank meetings.

·     
Ability to work across time zones and communicate internationally and
inter-culturally.

·     
Strong business and professional ethics.

·     
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·     
Working knowledge of MAC computer systems and programs.

·     
Strong inter-personal skills.

·     
Ability to deal with changing priorities.

·     
Must be detailed orientated and highly organized.

·     
Ability to travel nationally and internationally as required.
