JOB TITLE: Production Accountant
REPORTS TO:
Chief
Financial Officer
OVERVIEW: VICE Media is looking for a
Production Accountant to work with our new production division. The ideal
candidate for this role will be responsible for all accounting practices
related to our production schedule, creating monthly cost reports, handling
petty cash and all other accounting needs.
ROLES &
RESPONSIBILITES
- Participate
in the preparation of tv production budgets. - Review
purchase invoices, get them approved and allocate them to projects. - Follow-up
on budgets and actual costs for tv productions. - Participate
in tax credits applications. - Perform
cost analysis for film and tv productions. - Prepare
monthly cost reports. - Make
bank runs when necessary. - Perform
other accounting functions: - Petty
cash management - Corporate
credit cards management - Daily
cash receipts - Sales
invoice requests coordination between the sales team and the finance
department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor
degree in accounting. - Minimum
experience of 5 years in costs accounting. - Film or
TV accounting experience is essential. - Film
tax credits knowledge is essential (CMF, Cavco, CRTC, OMDC). - Very
good knowledge of Excel. - Experience
with Microsoft GP and Microsoft AX is a plus. - Perform
well under tight deadlines, with strong attention to detail.
