Key responsibilities
  • Facilitate community activity planning in
    order to identify and address key issues preventing or promoting taking
    children with fever to a health facility within 24 hrs of onset.
  • Empower communities to take initiatives in the
    improvement of the health of children under five year of age
  • Take the lead in the dissemination of
    knowledge on community improvement on diagnosis and management of fever in
    children under-five years of age
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge
The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in
community planning and development theories and practices; community health
program implementation, and an understanding of relevant community training and
mobilization guidelines in Tanzania
Skills
The incumbent must demonstrate ability to develop
and analyze community development plans: analyze community health programs and
be an effective negotiator with good writing skills.
Personal Attributes
The incumbent must be honest and trustworthy;
respectful; possess cultural awareness and sensitivity; and demonstrate sound
work ethics.
He/she should have at least a diploma in Community
Planning /development.
