• To enforce a system of internal controls to safeguard the assets of the University of Liberia;
• To implement methods and measures which will enhance the accuracy and reliability of accounting reporting;
• To ensure the adherence to the University of Liberia’s fiscal management policies;
• To prepare, analyze and review journal entries, financial statements, and budget/forecast;
• Assist Controller in accomplishing departmental goals and objectives;
• To ensure the adherence to established accounting policies, procedures, and practices of the University of Liberia;
• Must be able to train other staff members;
• To submit to the Controller such periodic reports as may be necessary and desirable.
Qualifications:
• MS in accounting with at least four years of work experience at the mid-management level or BS/BA in with at least seven (7) years of relevant experience at the senior management level
• Ability to work with diverse group of professionals, innovative, with strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
