University of Cambridge Senior Assistant Curator in Anthropology Job Vacancy in UK

The Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology seeks to appoint a Senior Assistant Curator in Anthropology with either African or Asian expertise, to start on 1 September 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter. The appointment made will be permanent, subject to a probationary period of five years.

Applications are welcome from research-active anthropologists with significant museum experience. The appointee will contribute to the care of the Museum’s extensive anthropological collections, their documentation, storage and display, and to making collections accessible to researchers, students, public audiences and source communities. He or she will be expected to generate research grants, develop exhibitions and collaborative projects, supervise assistant staff, volunteers and students, and contribute to Museum administration and University teaching.
