SENIOR
LECTURER IN SPORTS MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATION
The University of
Botswana seeks to recruit a Senior Lecturer in the Physical Education
Department
Requirements
Duties: The successful candidate is
expected to: (i) teach Sport Management & Administration courses at
undergraduate and graduate levels and supervise research, dissertations and
practicum; (ii) participate in all academic and professional activities of the
Department including curriculum review; (iii) teach practical physical
education classes (iv) carry out all other duties as may be assigned by the
Head of Department.
Requirements: Applicants should have: (i)
at least a Masters’ Degree in Sports Management and Administration or related
fields; (ii) a Bachelors’ Degree in Physical Education or related fields with
at least a 2(i) pass / GPA of at least 3.6; (iii) at least 3 years of teaching
experience at a university or comparable institution; (iv) a good and sustained
record of research and publications with at least 6 publications, 4 of which
are peer reviewed journal articles; (v) lead and/or single author in at least 2
refereed journal articles or book chapters; (vi) applicants should demonstrate
evidence of service; (vii) a relevant PhD, demonstration of effective academic
leadership and junior-colleague mentorship will be added advantages. The
curriculum vitae (CV) should contain a detailed list of publications; clearly
specifying titles of publications, dates published, name(s) of publishers and
name(s) of co-authors if any. Publications should be categorized into: books,
monographs, refereed and non-refereed journals, chapters in books, etc.
