PURPOSE
Under
limited supervision, the Electronic Banking Manager will drive the whole
electronic banking business with Umutanguha Finance Company to ensure efficient
delivery and profitability of the electronic channels

DUTIES

- Coordinate
and monitor the implementation of Mobile and Agency Banking within the
institution (legal requirements, equipments, partnerships, etc) - Manage
the information, analysis, development of the mobile banking and Agency
banking deliverables
- Under
limited supervision, candidates will process daily maintenance
adjustments, research and/or reconciliation related to acquired and issued
mobile/Agency payments transaction activities
- Candidate
will investigate business line inquiries and research requests and effect
financial adjustments as appropriate and necessary - Coordinate
any product upgrades / respective of Mobile network Operators according to
operating contracts / Licenses - Be
a focal point between all partners in Mobile and Agency banking (RSwitch,
MNOs, Utilities, donors, software providers, etc) - To
ensure that all payment tools are availed to the clients, - To
do follow up of possible complaints and disputes; - To
ensure that all online transactions are well recorded - Drive
Mobile and Agent Banking business growth - Develop
growth strategy for Electronic channels - Participate
in recruitment and training of Agents - Research
market trends and provide information on electronic banking business - Develop
and manage relationships with existing and potential Agents - Ensure
that the Agents are set up in agent system once approval is received from
BNR - Liaise
with Branch Managers in order to improve service quality to the Agents
attached to the Branch - Tracking
Daily transaction reports from agent system - Monitor
and ensure operational standards are met, identify areas of improvements
and work closely with all stakeholders to close gaps - Review
and develop operational guidelines for Mobile and Agency Banking
Businesses - Develop
and deliver management information reports - Ensure
that policies and procedures relating to Know Your Customer (KYC), Counter
Fraud and Terrorism (CFT) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) are being
followed by the agents - Ensure
BNR and the UFC policies are being followed in the provision of electronic
banking services - Ensure
that due diligence policy and procedures are followed during recruitment
of Agents
QUALIFICATION
AND EXPERIENCE
AND EXPERIENCE
- At
least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, IT applied to
Management, Computer Information Systems, E-Commerce, E-Business or other
related field - Excellent
computer knowledge (Ms Office) and Banking softwares; - Proven
knowledge and at least a one-year experience in the
electronic banking sector (Mobile banking, Agency banking, etc.)
preferably from a financial institution

- Excellent
communication and presentation skills in Kinyarwanda and Either : - Excellent
writing and communication skills in both English and French
; or - Excellent
writing and communication skills in English with ability to communicate
and work in French.
- Accounting
knowledge as well as project management experience would be an advantage - Demonstrated
proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel /Word) - Attention
to detail is desirable as well in both written & numeric language
