Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager
REF No UM/CTO/02/09/II .
Reports to: Chief Technical Officer

Job Purpose:
Responsible for developing and maintaining engineering standards, materials specifications, technology research and engineering quality management I

Key responsibilities;
• Developing and maintaining a materials specifications bank
• Preparation of tender documents for materials procurement and tender technical evaluation
• Developing and maintaining engineering standards, drawings, work procedures and work instructions !
• Developing and managing a quality management document control system
• Researching and ensuring that Umeme engineering practice is up to date with latest technology
• Developing training programs for engineering personnel to ensure they are up to date with latest standards, procedures and technology

Job requirement
Required qualifications and experience:
• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
• A post graduate qualification in Business or Management will be an advantage
• Qualification in ISO quality assurance standards
• At least five (5) years post qualification in a leadership role

Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong leadership Skills,
• Team builder and mentor,
• Strong interpersonal skills,
• Excellent oral and written communication skills,
• Competence in the use of computer data management packages, excel access
