Job Title: Network Maintenance Manager
REF No UM/ENG/03/10/11
Reports to: Chief Technical Officer
Department: Engineering

Job purpose:
Responsible for Network Assets Maintenance and Management to ensure delivery of safe and reliable electricity supply to customers.

Key responsibilities:
• Develop and implement industry best electricity network assets management strategies and practices.
• Develop and Implement annual electricity network assets management programs. Ensure that electricity supply is within the prescribed reliability levels.
• Introduce new technologies to ensure continuous improvement of network management efficiency.
• Carry-out asset management activities in a safe manner.
• Prepare annual capital and operating budgets
• Ensure that all activities are carried out within the approved budgets.
• Provide effective leadership to the Network Maintenance team to ensure high productivity.
• Participate in the recruitment required skills, develop and accredit them to deliver the required outputs.
• Enforce compliance to safety, quality, environment, regulatory and statutory

Required qualifications and experience:
• B.Sc Engineering (Electrical)
• Post graduate qualification in management
• Post qualification experience of no less than 5 years in an electricity distribution utility environment

Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong leadership Skills,
• Team builder and mentor,
• Strong interpersonal skills,
• Excellent oral and written communication skills,
• Competence in the use of computer data management packages. Excel, Access.
