Responsibilities:

* Manage
the outsourced administration functions for the UK plans and be accountable to
the Pensions Manager and respective Trustee bodies for all administrative
matters.
* Oversee implementation of appropriate processes and procedures by the
outsourced Administrators for the delivery of benefits in accordance with the
relevant trust documentation and changes in policy.
* Ensure the company and trustee boards remain compliant with stringent
external regulations.
* Provide technical and administrative support to the Pensions Manager and
appropriate Trustee Boards.
* Monitoring of internal controls utilised by Plan Administrator, implementing
improvements as required.
* To be the initial internal point of contact for case management (e.g. the
disbursement of discretionary benefits) and the handling of complaints and
disputes.
* Act as the interface between the outsourced Administrator and other internal
departments e.g. payroll and flexible benefits team etc.
 

Basic/Required Qualifications
*
Legal
right to live and work in the UK on a permanent basis without restrictions.


*In depth
defined benefit technical knowledge and understanding of pension practice and
statutory regulations.
* Strong verbal and numeracy skills.
* Thorough understanding of current HMRC limits and corresponding requirements.
* Ability to read and understand legal documentation, relating to the plan
(e.g. trust deed and rules).
* Clear thinker with solutions orientation and demonstrable implementation
skills.
* Sound planning skills.
* Highly responsive approach to service delivery to the different stakeholders.
* An ability to manage complex working relationships involving a variety of
diverse stakeholders i.e. trustee directors, members, external service
providers and senior management.
* Effective communication skills with an ability to articulate complex
technical pension issues to the layman.
* Strong ‘people skills’ with an ability to empathise and be patient.
