There are many types of water
pollution because water comes from many source, here are few types of water
pollution.
Nutrient
pollution
: Some waste water, fertilizer and sewage contain
high level of nutrient, if they end up in water bodies; they encourage algae
and weed growth in the water bodies.

Surface
water pollution:
Includes Natural water found on the
earth surface like rivers, lakes, lagoon and ocean. Hazardous substance coming
into contact with this surface water dissolves or mixed physically with the
water to cause surface water pollution.
Oxygen
Depletion
: Water bodies have micro- organism. These
includes aerobic and an aerobic organisms. When too much biodegradable matters
[things that easily decay] end up in water it encourage more micro-organism
growth and they use up more oxygen in the water.
Ground
water pollution:
When human apply pesticide and
chemical to soil they are washed deep into the ground by rain water. This gets
to underground water causing pollution underground. This means when we dug well
or bore hole to get water from underground. It needs to be check for ground
water pollution.
Micro
Biological:
In many communities world people
drink untreated water straight from river or stream. Sometimes there is natural
pollution cause by micro-organism like virus, bacteria and protozoa. This
natural pollution can cause fishes and other water life to die. They can also
cause serious illness for does that drink from source.
Oil
spillage:
Oil spills usually have only a localized effect
on wildlife, but can spread for mild’s. Oil spillage in the environment stick
to the feather of sea birds causing them to lose the ability to fly. Do you
