Trade Mark East Africa (TMEA) is funded by a range of development agencies with
the aim of growing prosperity in East Africa through trade. We believe that
enhanced trade contributes to economic growth, a reduction in poverty and
subsequently increased prosperity. The first phase of TMEA runs to mid-2017 and
we expect this to be followed by a second phase from 2017 to 2024.
TMEA has its headquarters in Nairobi with branches in Arusha, Bujumbura, Dar es
Salaam, Juba, Kampala and Kigali.
We are looking for a high calibre, results-oriented and experienced
professional tojoin our team in the position detailed below.
PROGRAMME MANAGER, REPORTS TO ENGINEER
The Programme Manager, Ports Engineer will be the project manager for all
TMEA-funded civil and maritime works activities at the Mombasa Port. S/he will
report to the infrastructure Director, Northern Corridor and consult closely
with the Kenya Country Director. S/he will work closely with the rest of the
Mombasa Port team and the Kenya Country Programme team.
The ideal candidate will be a graduate in civil or maritime engineering and a
registered engineer in Kenya or recognized by Engineers Registration Board of
Kenya. S/he must possess a minimum of eight (8) years‘experience in civil or
maritime engineering or a related field, and proven solid experience with one
or more of the major surface transport modes (road, rail and port) as well as in
project management and procurement.
