RESULTS DIRECTOR
TMEA is seeking to recruit a high calibre,
results-oriented and self-driven experienced professional to join our team in
the position of Results Director.
The Results Director will be responsible for
overall delivery of high quality, coherent set of Monitoring and Evaluation
work ensuring that TMEA’s monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) and Value
for Money (VfM) systems and processes are implemented across the entire
programme.
S/he will be responsible for assessing the outcomes
and impact of TMEA’s programme across the portfolio. This will entail
formulating and maintaining integrated MEL systems and processes for the entire
programme, including development of the full monitoring framework spanning all
activities such as review of log-frames, establishment of baselines, preparing
results chains and defining indicators among others.
The successful candidate will lead evaluative
activities such as the development and review of theories of change;
collection, analysis and presentation of qualitative and quantitative data; and
learning activities with TMEA teams and partners.
Specifically, the results director will be expected
to apply a practical and hands-on approach in ensuring that the monitoring
system and framework is fully operational and functional.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree
in Economics, Development Studies, Management or Evaluation and a minimum of
ten years’ experience in managing monitoring and evaluation activities in both
public and private sectors. Five years of relevant experience in
monitoring and evaluation and communications in East and Southern African
countries is highly desirable.
The post requires a good understanding of results
measurement systems such as Donor Committee for Enterprise Development (DCED)
approaches. She/he must possess the ability to communicate complex issues in simple
and understandable ways. In addition, experience in private sector development
programmes and regional integration would be highly desirable.
