Tony Blair Institute for Global Change:
At
the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change we are dedicated to making
globalisation work for the many, not the few. We do this by helping countries,
their people and their governments, address some of the most difficult
challenges in the world today – beginning with those where we think we can
break new ground, offering leaders new thinking and new approaches. Our staff –
over 200 of them, based all over the world – are working on some of the most
intractable problems around issues of co-existence, governance, the peace
process in the Middle East and renewing the centre.

of the Role:
of the Role:
The
Government of Rwanda aims to transform the country from a predominantly
agrarian-based, low-income economy to an industrial, knowledge-based
middle-income nation. This vision is premised on the ability of Rwanda’s
education system to produce sufficient and appropriately skilled young people
capable of realising this aspiration, as well as upgrading the skills and
competencies of the existing workforce. Achieving these outcomes will require a
substantially strengthened basic education system. We are seeking a summer
intern to support this education system strengthening effort, by providing
policy research, analysis, and proposals, and supporting the coordination of
key sector processes.
