unbanked. By October 2013, 36 per cent of our customers were active users of
Tigo Cash, depositing or withdrawing money, paying utility bills and school
fees via text message. Tigo Cash Rwanda has been recognized by the GSMA as one
of the top five fastest-growing mobile financial services divisions in the
world. We are seeking for competent persons to fill the below positions;

 1.      
Position: Brand & Trade Executive
       
Job Purpose:
Will be responsible for brand building,
liaising with agencies, production of in – house promotional materials and
publications, preparing press releases, organizing promotional activities.
Is responsible for the trade marketing
activities across the different channels and territories, in line with the
overall Trade Marketing strategy. In having customer satisfaction as main
priority, is the contact point/person between marketing department, product
management and sales teams to ensure achievement of sales objectives
Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation
    of brand plan-marketing, quarterly promotional strategy-input finalization
    and input implementation plan.
  • Brand
    sales analysis and follow up for strategy implementation
  • Accountability
    for Brand’s performance & working closely with sales team
  • Piloting
    the innovations and creating new indications and expanding markets
  • Manages
    the point of sales material (including budget, logistics, distribution,
    assortment…) by finding the most efficient solutions
  • Collaborates
    with product managers and marketing team to build sales promotions and
    product communication
  • Collaborates
    with sales teams to turn the “selling stories” into sales tools to effectively
    present the brands, the products and the marketing initiatives to their
    customers
  • Keep
    up to date with market trends and new developments utilizing information
    for business improvement
  • Formulating
    and implementing trade/marketing strategies
  • Execution
    of trade and promotional activities
  • Providing
    market analysis information pertaining to competitors, trends and
    activities
  • Collaborates
    with consumer research  resource to read and report results of
    activities and to provide recommendations and forecasts
  • Provides
    input for the Brand communications planning cycle
  • Contributes
    to the development and implementation of the Brand communications action
    plan
  • Responsible
    for planning and executing promotional goodies acquisitions
  • Responsible
    for managing development of brand communication at the POS
  • Responsible
    for managing the business relationship with Creative agencies
 Role Requirements:
  • University
    degree, preferably in marketing, communication, or business administration
  • Experience
    in marketing with knowledge of print advertising
  • Minimum
    3-5 years of trade marketing management experience is needed
  • Relevant
    experience in FMCG is an advantage
  • Former
    Experience/background in Sales is highly recommended
  • Energetic,
    organized and business-driven approach is highly recommended

Position: Brand & Events Officer
       
Job Purpose                                               
 
Responsible for developing events where
our (Tigo) brand is involved, to evaluate sponsorships requirements, and to
realize smooth events activities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To
    develop events and activities where Tigo brand is present, in order for
    our brand to be the protagonist of the event, and its presence to be the
    most important.
    • Research
      and evaluating events for corporate participation
    • In
      collaboration with the PR& CSR Coordinator select and ensure that all
      sponsorships proposals are adequate to our trademark, profitable and that
      they support to build our brand image.
    • Gather
      all necessary information and follow up with appropriate stakeholders
      (maximizing partnerships, sponsorships and more)
    • Realize
      activities to consolidate Tigo brand as leader in Rwanda
      telecommunication market.
    • Plan,
      Develop external and internal events activities as well as relationships
      with communication media.
    • Adhering
      to conference planning schedule, policies and guidelines
    • Establish
      event performance criteria and prepare a post-moterm analysis for each
      event
    • Prepare
      event –related communications documents (Presentations, monthly etc)
    • Schedules
      and coordinates public and  events, seminars, conferences and
      services for campus and/or community organizations
    • Contracting
      with caterers, A/V specialists and other vendors in a timely manner
Role Requirements:
  • University

3.      
Position: Infrastructure Operations Manager
       
Job Purpose:     
Will be responsiblefor coordinating
activities of all the staff in charge of Operating and Maintaining office
technological infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, Windows Network, email and
intranet services, workstations, printers, video conferencing and internal
telephony system. Ensure that services are available and performing according
to quality standards and service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate
    activities of technical personnel ensuring that users requests and
    problems and solved on a timely manner
  • Monitor
    systems performance and realize required actions to keep the services up
    and running as per SLA’s.
  • Control
    system capacity and utilization; submit periodic reports (statistics,
    trends, incidents).
  • Ensure
    that periodic backups of information and applications are performed, as
    per approved policies.
  • Define
    operational policies and processes.
  • Ensure
    that internal controls are in place and performed according to their
    definition.
  • Implement
    security configurations as per approved policies. 
  • Ensure
    that services received from external suppliers are in compliance with
    contractual conditions, internal controls and service level agreements.
  • Prepare
    specific reports in case of major incidents.
  • Ensure
    that assigned personnel have a proper development and training program.
  • CAPEX
    and OPEX forecasting and follow up for IT infrastructure
Role Requirements
  • Bachelors
    or Master’s degree in electronics and communication or related field
    (System Engineer, IT Engineer, Network systems engineer)
  • Minimum
    3-5 years’ experience working in the IT and Telecom industry (Telcos
    preferably)
  • Knowledge
    and experience in internal control process and policies (COBIT, SOX)
  • Experience
    in connecting and applying complex technologies to business strategies
  • Ability

4.      
Position: Health, Safety & Environment
Officer               
      
Job Purpose:  
Responsible forensuring that Tigo as an
employer and the employees comply with safety legislation and that safety
policies and practices are adopted and adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage,
    promote and proactively help implement and maintain HS&E programs in
    line with Group Security and HSE plan, policies, practices and procedures,
    to reduce risks in Tigo Rwanda and help eliminate activities leading to
    accidents, damages and injuries.
  • Advise
    managers, HS&E coordinators, employees and subcontractors in general
    about current and new safe work procedures, safety policies and applicable
    regulation and international standards.
  • Ensure
    compliance with all local and international legislation and regulations
    interfacing with regulatory and compliance departments.
  • Investigate
    the causes of accident/incidents and develop/implement procedures and
    methods to prevent similar occurrences in the future, including risk
    assessments and action plans. To ensure all significant accidents and or
    incidents are cost calculated and findings issued to the local management
    team and to the Group HSE Manager for review and comment.
  • Shall
    form a key advisory role within the operations ensuring the Security/HSE
    committee is formed and conducted per quarter or as defined by local
    legislation as a minimum. All meetings shall be recorded in minutes and
    issued to the Millicom Group HSE Manager for review and comment.
  • Assist
    and help evaluate work procedures and environments via workplace and
    activity risk assessment to identify potential hazards and ensure that
    adequate controls are in place according to internal programs, policies
    and procedures.
  • Responsible
    for the supervision and training of all designated local safety
    coordinators.
  • Ensure
    the suspension/interruption of activities in local operation facilities
    that pose threats to workers’ health and safety are implemented and
    managed by local management.
  • Ensure
    appropriate procedures and safety equipment are implemented and managed by
    local management, in accordance with local laws, regulations and relevant
    international standards.
  • Execute
    periodic inspections of facilities, equipment and machinery to identify
    potential hazards, recommend risk reduction measures and ensure the
    installation of HS&E features. Follow up on outstanding observations
    and actions.
  • Provide
    HS&E training programs and education to current employees as well as
    new employee orientations.
  • Conduct
    and coordinate review of HS&E Inspections and Audits with the Internal
    Audit team
  • Maintain
    records and prepare reports on the administration of HS&E matters and
    other assigned activities.
  • Completion
    of incident investigation, statistics, reports, and trend reporting.
  • Deliver
    informative, well-organized presentations and participate in periodic
    global, regional and local meetings.
  • Shall
    interface with all departments to ensure Fire Safety Management plans,
    Equipment, Fire Marshals are established and tested at regular intervals
    along with training for all colleagues.
  • Be
    part of and participate in the  Crisis Management Team and as such
    shall interface with the Country Security Manager, Business Continuity
    Manager, Office Managers and Departmental Managers.
Role Requirements:
  •  Working
    knowledge of HS&E requirements in accordance with local laws and
    regulations as well as applicable international standards.
  • Ability
    to analyze and understand HS&E policies and procedures, and to develop
    planning and optimization of programs.
  • Highly
    developed leadership abilities with excellent relationship-building
    skills.
  • A
    team player with excellent oral and written communication skills, attention
    to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Must
    have an ongoing record of professional development.
  • Experience
    in telecommunication engineering hazards (RF radiation, working at
    heights, laser safety, etc.) is a plus.

5.      
Position: Senior Core Product Specialist
Job Purpose
The incumbent will be responsible for
driving growth in terms of penetration and revenue for all core Tigo Cash
products.

Position: Billing Operations Officer 
       
Job Purpose:
                                               
The Billing Operations Officer will be
responsible taking care of matters related to the Billing Systems Operation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot
    escalated issues related to the billing platforms and track for
    resolution, monitor, resolution progress and feedback to requesting party
    in a timely fashion & produce report accordingly.
  • Investigate
    and resolve billing exceptions on daily basis
  • Timely
    and accurate track of billing system health
  • Monitor
    incidents raised to Billing operations & system failures and ensure
    they are assigned relevant severity levels and timely investigated and
    closed as per SLA & Produce reports in that regards
  • Record
    customer issues arising in billing operations and ensure they are
    remediated in a timely manner.
  • Document
    billing processes and standard operational procedures and ensure any
    change to the approved processes is documented and formally approved.
  • Prepare,
    maintain and distribute billing, transaction or customer care reports as
    required
  • Provide
    daily support and training to external and internal personnel as required
    for billing operations
  • Investigate
    and resolve production related issues related to the billing operation
  • Produce
    billing platforms KPI reports.
  • Perform
    Pre, billing  and Post-billing activities
  • Execute
    billing operation task (scratch cards activation, billing adjustment, sim
    cards provisioning…)
Role Requirements:
  • Bachelor
    Degree  in computer science or related fields
  • 1
    or 2  years in Telecom Billing Operation Services
  • Strong
    analytical and troubleshooting skills

Position: IT Process Coordinator       
       
Job Purpose:
             
Will be responsible for taking care of
matters related to the IT Processes in the Billing Section.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure
    control execution of prepaid, post-paid, interconnect, roaming, DWH and IT
    Security on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and follow up on exceptions
    occurred and its resolution progress.
  • Record
    customer issues arising in service delivery processes and ensure they are
    remediated in a timely manner.
  • Document
    service delivery and standard operational procedures and ensure any change
    to the approved processes is documented and formally approved.
  • Produce
    weekly service delivery KPI reports and compliance reports on SOX and
    Internal Controls.
  • Initiate
    petty cash advance, retirement and expense requests for CSD in expense
    management System
  • Monitor
    and report on progress of the implementation of the service delivery
    Succession planning
  • Any
    other adhoc tasks related to service delivery requested by the Head of
    Service Delivery
Role Requirements:
  • Bachelor
    Degree in Information Technology or related fields
