Consumer & Market Understanding Manager

Responsible to turn consumer data and insights into actionable commercial plans. Candidates must be comfortable working in a very dynamic, creative, fast paced and rapidly changing environment. Background in strategic marketing and consumer quantitative & qualitative research methods essential.

Core tasks & responsibilities
Advising local CEO on market trends & opportunities (competitive intelligence)
Leading all Tigo consumer and market understanding research (quantitative and qualitative)
Leading costumer data analytics initiatives (segmentation and predictive analytics)
Conducting brand tracking and financial analysis
Creating regular briefing for new product or services development
Collaborating to core growth and new growth projects
Providing the inputs needed to build product/service feasibility study such as market segment, size of market, potential demand, price points, etc

Desired Skills & Experience
University degree in marketing, communication, psychology, anthropology (or engineering)
Master of Business Administration a definite plus
A minimum of 6 years of experience in leading consumer research
Working knowledge of design research methods a strong plus
Experience in FMCG or Technology/Telecommunication sectors a plus
Fluency in English a must
French and/or Swahili a very strong plus
