Key Responsibilities:
Driving the overall direction and control of all sales activity in the UK and Ireland, with particular focus on:
– accurate sales forecasting
– driving revenues and delivering against the forecasted plan
– growing THQ market share
– maintaining budgeted departmental costs
– Developing strategies and objectives with regard to sales quotas and new business opportunities.
– Direct involvement in major accounts and prospects
– Building, managing and maintaining key customer relationships
– Negotiating and maintaining T&Cs for direct retail accounts and obtain listings
– Maintaining strong relationships with Marketing and Operations teams. This is an essential part of the role as assisting with the execution of timely launches will be highly impactful on overall success.
– Responsible for recruiting, training, motivating and maintaining an effective sales team

Key Personal Competencies:
– Experience of working in the videogames, hi-tech or new media industries (or similar fast-paced environments) preferred
– Knowledge of the European Interactive Entertainment market desirable
– Experience of all UK retailers
– Excellent planning and organization skills required
– Forecasting and analytical skills are a prerequisite for the role
– Proven ability to negotiate essential
– A great leader, relationship builder and man manager essential
– Literate, strong ability to place thoughts into words
– Effective communicator at all levels of the business and able to influence when necessary. Excellent presentation skills.
– Experience of working for a US parent-company would be beneficial
– Flexible and willing to travel as and when necessary in order to fulfill the role
