Theatre
for a Change Ghana is a Ghanaian registered non-governmental organization which
works to empower women and girls, in partnership with boys and men, to improve
their sexual and reproductive health and rights.  Theatre for a Change
currently implements 6 projects in 8 regions. Theatre for a Change Ghana is


seeking a Finance and Administration Manager to join its Senior Management
team. This team member will work closely with the Country Director to oversee
administrative, operations and financial management and accountability
requirements, and will contribute to organizational development. The Finance
and Administration Manger has key responsibility for financial management,
accounting and procurement, with additional human resources and governance
responsibilities.

Job
Description
  • Financial
    Management

    – lead on annual organizational budget development; assist with project
    level budget design; ensure compliance with relevant financial policies;
    contribute to fundraising; oversee annual audit.
  • Accounting
    – administer salaries; maintain accounts book using Quick Books; manage
    all project expenditure, petty cash and payments for goods and services;
    produce financial reports for internal and external audiences (donors and
    partners).
  • Procurement
    – assist with organizational procurement of goods and services in line
    with procurement policy systems and controls, and maintain inventory of
    property and equipment.
  • Human
    Resources

    – Line manage a Finance and Administration Assistant; provide relevant
    training to staff on finances and support other capacity building;
    maintain staff records.
  • Governance
    – Contribute to quarterly Board of Directors meetings and to all Senior
    Management Team decision making.
Qualifications
and requirements (qualifications, skills, personal)
  • Bachelor
    Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related
  • Minimum
    of 3 years experience in a finance, accounting and/or administration
    management role
  • Excellent
    knowledge of computerised accounts packages, Excel, PowerPoint, QuickBooks
    and Word
  • Experience
    working with small NGOs (desirable)
  • Experience
    working with multiple donors, including private sector companies,
    foundations and government funds and ministries
  • Excellent
    analytical skills – the ability to analyse complex financial data and
    design and produce effective management information
  • Strong
    written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in local
    languages preferred.
  • Ability
    to manage a complex workload and multiple deadlines
  • Ability
    to travel within Ghana
