Introduction:
The University of Global Health Equity
(UGHE), a ground breaking health sciences university in Rwanda training the
next generation of global leaders in health care delivery. UGHE is an
initiative of

Partners In Health, an internationally recognized non-profit
organization whose mission is to provide a preferential option for the poor in
health care. PIH has operated alongside public sectors in countries around the
world for over three decades, and over 10 years in Rwanda with its sister
organization Inshuti Mu Buzima and government partners. UGHE seeks individuals
committed to the mission and values of the organization (see PIH values) to join the team.

General Responsibilities: IT Manager will be
responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining UGHE’s student
management systems, learning management system, digital library, internet
services, and computer infrastructure.
Responsibilities
i)  Customize and implement a
student management system to maintain student records (admissions, online
registration, and tuition tracking and examination scores) and programmes.
ii)  Customize and maintain a
learning management system that will manage delivery of digital course content
iii)  Implement a digital
repository of relevant health science content
iv)  Video record lectures, edit
them, and upload them to the learning management system.
v) Implement and maintain Internet
services and IT infrastructure (network equipment, computers and software for
faculty, staff, and students, classroom projectors, video conferencing, video
and audio recording equipment, etc.)
vi) Procure appropriate technologies
(hardware, software, and services) according to UGHE internal needs and
policies.
Experience and Qualifications:
i)  At least 3 years of relevant
experience, preferably working with educational
Institutions.
ii)  Familiarity with Open Source
Learning Management tools and digital library
technologies.
iii)  Master’s degree – preferably
in information technology, computer science, or
Educational technology – or equivalent
experience.
iv) Excellent written and oral skills
in English and Kinyarwanda.
