Qualifications
We
are seeking a motivated individual to operate and maintain an up and coming
nursery. The ideal candidate will have post-secondary education either in
horticultural, forestry or a related field with the following skills and
qualifications considered an asset:

- Occupational
First Aid Ticket - Pesticide
Applicator Certificate - Eligible
for or registered with the Association of BC Forest Professionals - Business
management experience or training - Working
knowledge of irrigation control systems - Familiarity
with farming equipment - Training
in forest genetics and tree breeding - Hold
a valid driver’s license

- Provide
strategic direction to nursery and seed orchard operations - Oversee
orchard development and maintenance, sales and research - Oversee
development of newly acquired property in preparation for exciting new
fruit venture - Develop
annual budgets; monitor and control costs - Responsible
for liaising with neighbours, local officials, contract seedling growers,
etc - Manage
small timber projects and crown land dealings
