The Independent
Development Fund is a Ugandan non- political, non- governmental, not for profit
grant mechanism, providing support to civil society organizations to promote
human rights, access to justice and social accountability in Uganda. We seek to
recruit a qualified individual to fill the position of Programme Results

1. Main Purpose of
the Post
Responsible for
overseeing measurement and documentation of programme results i.e. high-level
impact, assessing systemic change, and guiding the results team and partners in
understanding the intermediate steps which lead to impact and realization of
IDF strategic goals and objectives.
2. Main Duties and
Responsibilities
• Ensure projects
for IDF grantees have clear and implementable results which are well-aligned to
IDF strategic objectives.
• Build efficient
and effective M & E systems and timely documentation of results.
• Produce robust
evidence of impact for presentation to donors.
• Oversee
measurement and aggregation of data for milestones and indicators at impact,
outcome, and output levels.
• Manage the
development and monitoring of results chains.
• Oversee the
collection and publication of information to highlight programme impact and
learning.
• Work with the
Programme Support team to compile and analyze programme results for donors and
publishing.
• Responsible for
overall knowledge management aspects of IDF programmes lessons from grantee
projects and stories of change.
• Directly manage
staff in the Results Unit who are tasked with the daily oversight, updating and
measurement against intervention results chains.
• Provide
mentorship, capacity building and guidance to results team and grantees on
implementation of strategies for interventions.
• In coordination
with the ED participate in external forums/workshops/conferences/ meetings to
share best practices and findings with stakeholders.
• Develop positive
working relationships and coordinate/collaborate with partner organizations and
the relevant international and national agencies.
3. Minimum
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in
social sciences or law with post graduate training in M & E.
• Minimum of 8
years’ experience in human rights approaches and design and management of M
& E systems for complex, multi-sectoral projects.
• Experience with
civil society/NOD sector a plus, especially with human rights and advocacy
programs or organizations
