Tea Research Foundation of central Africa,Director Jobs in Malawi

Responsible to the
Board of Trustees of the Tea research Foundation of Central Africa (TRFCA) for
the research operations, finance and general affairs of TRFCA as set out from
time to time by order and directors of the Board of Management

Strategic planning for the TRFCA, Providing direction on the overall research
programs of the institution and ensuring that the research programs respond to
the needs of clients, Providing advice to the Board of management on all
matters relating to the running of the Foundation, Soliciting and mobilising
funds from govt, donors, and other stakeholders for research
programs,
infrastructure development and capacity building, Creating a favourable working
environment for all staff members to produce the best output, Assessing
management performance of the Head of Research Services and Administration
Manager and making appropriate recommendations to the Board, Providing
financial support and exercising expenditure control on all programs and
services of the institution, Responsible for the recruitment of senior members
of staff in conjunction with the foundation’s board of management, developing a
medium and long term human resources training development
 plan for research and administration members of staff, Developing working
relationships with relevant Govt Ministries and research organisations in the
areas of research for the promotion of agricultural diversification,
Undertaking appropriate Monitoring and Evaluation exercise for research
programs, Serving as spokesperson for the institution to both internal and
external stakeholders, Performing Board of management functions as delegated by
the Board

PhD in Crop Sciences or any related field, At least 5 yrs experience in
management or similar position, Strong communication and interpersonal skills
